The Trump administration is reportedly considering a major change to federal child care assistance.
Under the proposal, some married families could receive about $9,000 per child each year if one parent works at least 35 hours a week and the other stays home with the kids.
The proposal would use the existing Child Care and Development Fund, which currently helps eligible families pay for child care.
