NATIONAL PROGRAM OFFICER
The post holder will support the implementation of Switzerland’s Economic Cooperation Program with Indonesia and work closely with government counterparts and implementing partners in Indonesia, as well as program managers and technical specialists at SECO headquarters in Bern, Switzerland. He/she will manage SECO’s private sector development portfolio with a focus on regulatory reform to improve the business and investment climate, corporate governance, access to finance, dual vocational education and training (dVET), and skills development.
Prospective candidates should have:
- a university degree at masters level or equivalent, in economics, finance, development studies, political / social sciences or a related field;
- a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in development, preferably related to public sector reform and/or private sector development; experience of working on gender issues will be a plus;
- practical know-how of development cooperation, experience in program management and knowledge of relevant actors and institutions;
- work experience with an international organization and/or private sector company.
Skills and competencies:
- Capacity to work independently and to interact with a broad range of partners;
- Management and/or coaching experience; proven leadership skills will be a plus;
- Good analytical & writing skills; ability to plan, coordinate, and organize work;
- Excellent report-writing and communication skills;
- Excellent command of English and Indonesian;
- Sound knowledge of political and economic trends in Indonesia.
